Using Online Placement

Posting your candidacy

  1. First of all, make sure you are allowed to work in the private sector or for the Québec government by consulting the eligibility criteria.
  2. Register with Online Placement External site. Opens in a new window..
  3. Once you’ve registered, create a student candidacy specifying the type of job you would like to hold.  Don’t forget that only student candidates are eligible to apply for a student job with the Québec government.
  4. Click on Post.  

As soon as you’ve posted your candidacy, employers will be able to access and examine your profile whenever they’re looking for candidates.

Applying online

To obtain a job as quickly as possible, you can pursue your search by sending your résumé to the businesses of your region External site. Opens in a new window. by email or regular mail.  You can also attach your résumé when you apply for a position through Online Placement.  In the Tips for success section, you will find tips to help you prepare your résumé, draft a cover letter and get ready for an interview with an employer.

Job hunting through Online Placement

To begin, consult Online Placement’s search for Québec job offers External site. Opens in a new window. page.

Under job offers sought, select Student job offers and your region.  If you want to focus your search, you can add keywords or enter other optional criteria (e.g., positions in the public service or in a specific sector).

Click on Search and obtain all the student job offers for your region.

If a job interests you, make sure the employer accepts online applications.  If so, click on Apply to forward your application and résumé.
